Pastor Trudy's message
The golden rule—Do to others as you would have them do to you. Now this is a whole lot easier than following a whole list of commandments! I'm in. If you are in also, then we will be ready to put this scripture back in its context and see that this is far from a command to 'be nice'. Rather it is a call to live out of a love for ourselves that is deeply grounded in Christ's love, a love that shines light into our lives. But wait, before we turn that light on our neighbors and enemies, we might want to see what it turned up in our lives.
Holy God, we desire a simple way to live out Your Word...and by simple we mean easy. Help us to lean in to the ways You challenge us through the life giving Love of Your Son, Jesus, in whose name we pray. Amen.
