NOVEMBER 23, 2025

JFS celebrated its third annual Friendsgiving, a joyful afternoon dedicated to connection and gratitude. Families came together to share delicious food and meaningful moments that embody the season of thanks.

Guests enjoyed a festive meal featuring traditional favorites and plenty of smiles. Children participated in crafts and soccer, making the day lively and fun for all ages. The event was a reminder of the power of community and the importance of supporting one another.

We are deeply grateful to our generous partners who made this day possible: St. Basil Seminary and Father Bohdan Tymchyshyn for graciously hosting and supporting Friendsgiving for the third year, Wegman’s Norwalk and Stew Leonard’s Norwalk for their contributions, and all of our incredible volunteers, including students from King School and Brunswick School. Your kindness created a memorable experience for all.

Temple Sinai of Stamford truly outdid themselves on Mitzvah Day 2025! Their incredible volunteers meticulously packed 400 snack bags to be distributed to Westhill and Stamford High School students facing food insecurity.

Each day, hundreds of students stay after school to take part in enriching programs and activities—but for many, consistent access to nutritious snacks is still out of reach. These thoughtful snack packs will offer not only a boost of energy and nourishment, but also a sense of dignity and care for young people working hard to learn, grow, and thrive despite personal challenges.

A heartfelt thank you to Melissa Friedman, who worked tirelessly to coordinate the packing, pick-up, and delivery, ensuring everything went seamlessly.

We are deeply grateful to Temple Sinai and to all of our community partners who continue to join us in minimizing the suffering of others—one mitzvah at a time.
