A Note from Our CEO

Greetings!

Last week, I watched as 20 of our four-year-olds crossed the stage at their promotion ceremony. Our yard was full - more than 100 parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins, all there to celebrate this first educational milestone.

I have known some of these children since they were born. I heard about their first steps and their first words. And now, they are ready to leave the safety of LEAP and embark on their educational journey.

When they marched up to the stage, sang for the audience, and proudly received their certificates, they showed us their independence and their readiness for what's next. I know our children are prepared for TK and Kindergarten.

Building a sense of competency, self-sufficiency, and independence is vital to everything we do at LEAP - with children, with their parents, and with our Family Resource Center families. We work every day to develop the skills people need to reach their goals, whether that's a four-year-old ready for kindergarten or a parent ready to take their next step forward.

Watching these children walk across that stage, independent and ready, reminded me why this work matters so much.

Congratulations to our graduates. We can't wait to hear about all you'll accomplish.

Warmly,

Lori Lander Goodman

Chief Executive Officer

Congratulations, Pre-K Graduates!

How exciting it was to see you walk across that stage! We are so proud of all that you've learned, the friendships you've built, and the confidence you've gained along the way. As you head off to TK or kindergarten, we wish you many more days filled with joy, laughter, learning, and new adventures. The future is bright, and we can't wait to see all the amazing things you'll do!

Thank You, St. Michael's!

A big thank you to St. Michael's University Church in Isla Vista for their generous donation of toys to LEAP's Children's Centers! These gifts will bring smiles to children in Goleta and Lompoc, helping create joyful opportunities to learn, play, and grow. Thank you for making a difference for local children and families.

Diaper Packing

Join us on Wednesday, July 29th, from 10-11:30 AM to help pack diapers for local babies and families! Volunteers will help bundle, sort, and repackage diapers for families who need a little extra support.
