Trojans celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

Hispanic Heritage Month runs from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, and students across the district have celebrated in a variety of ways. Carrollton Middle School held a special assembly this week to further highlight the importance of Hispanic heritage. At Carrollton Upper Elementary, students in art class explored the work of iconic Hispanic artists such as Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, Joan Miró, and Pablo Picasso, each of whom brought unique styles and perspectives to the world of art. As a fun, hands-on experience, students also colored a giant page inspired by these artists’ masterpieces, deepening their connection to both the art and the cultural significance behind it.
