Celebrating Student Creativity and Technical Growth

Operations and Technology Coordinator CJ Yoder recently attended Central District 301's App Showcase to help evaluate apps designed by students in their classes and clubs.


During the event, students presented their projects, explained how they worked, and reflected on what they learned. It was a great celebration of creativity, problem-solving, and technical growth!

Google Training Series Wraps Up

Last week, Instructional Coach Faye Licari wrapped up a four-part Google professional learning series for administrative assistants in Batavia School District 101.


Throughout the sessions, participants mastered practical strategies to streamline daily workflows, optimize tools, and build a more intentional digital workspace. The ROE is proud to support local district teams with targeted professional learning that keeps school offices running smoothly!

Congratulations, Jordan!

We are thrilled to share that Professional Learning Supervisor Jordan Eggleson has been selected for the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) Fellows Academy!


As a CASEL Fellow, Jordan will join a nationwide cohort of SEL leaders, deepening her practice through workshops, mentorship, collaborative coaching, and access to the latest evidence-based research. She will develop a customized SEL implementation plan and capstone project tailored specifically to the needs of Kane County, with new strategies ready to use across our districts and schools.


Jordan will also join CASEL's alumni community, keeping Kane County connected to the latest research, national best practices, and a growing network of SEL leaders for years to come.

One Week Left to Register for I Love U Guys Training

School staff members and emergency response personnel from across Kane County are invited to participate in our reunification training sessions this summer.


Originally designed by the I Love U Guys Foundation, this training equips participants to navigate crisis situations where students may need to be relocated to off-campus sites, and how to effectively reunite those students with family members.

Date: June 17

Location: Christ Community Church

(820 S Randall Rd, South Elgin, IL 60177)

Both sessions are FREE and will cover the same material.

Registration closes on June 10

Session 1: 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Session 2: 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Educators, administrators, and educational leaders are invited to submit proposals for breakout sessions that support raising student achievement through continuous improvement.
