A MESSAGE FROM MAYOR KLING
CELEBRATING THE STORY TRAIL

This week we celebrated the official launch of the story trail in Lakeview Park. The story trail has 16 locations in a one-half mile loop and includes bilingual messages of hope, encouragement and resilience - many original quotes from the community. The quotes were also part of 2C Kids Week (shared more below).

Funding for the story trail project came from a grant received from St. Luke’s Children’s Healthy Lifestyle Grant and the funds received from the Mayor’s Walking Challenge which is donated from High Five! Children’s Health Collaborative, an initiative of the Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health.

The story trail is a great activity for the entire community read notes of encouragement and enjoy walking in one of Nampa's beautiful parks. I hope you'll join me in enjoying them during our beautiful fall weather.
-Mayor Debbie Kling

2C KIDS WEEK
NEW MURAL IN DOWNTOWN
This past week has been full of activity for the first annual 2C Kids Week. Messages of hope and fun activities occurred across Canyon County. Thanks to a donation of wall space on Rolling H Cycle in Downtown Nampa, a beautiful new mural which reads "Hope Lives Here" can now be enjoyed. We invite you to take a picture and tag #2CKids the next time you're in downtown! Thank you to everyone who came together to make this fun week possible for our entire community.

HAIL TO THE CHIEFS!
