Helping Our Neighbors -
June numbers and looking forward...
- Loudoun Hunger continues to see between 700 and 800 families a week. The economic impact of this crisis will likely last well over a year, even once things return to normal. As the unemployment enhancements and eviction protections end, our neighbors will face the unenviable decision of having to choose between paying their bills and putting food on the table.
- Loudoun Hunger Relief distributed about 230,000 pounds of food to families in need in June. We distributed nearly 700,000 pounds of food from April 1 to June 30. That's almost 600,000 meals! Our team has worked tirelessly to find creative ways to safely source, store and distribute healthy food to more people in need than ever before.
- Our community support remains strong, and our financial position remains stable as we carefully steward our resources in preparation for the storm to come.
We are GRATEFUL for your help!
