The Women's Earth and Climate Action Network (WECAN)
Invites you to a series of Education and Advocacy On-Line Tranings for Women in the US Mobilizing for Climate Justice

Dear Friends and Allies,

In celebration of Mother's Day, we are holding close to our hearts, all the amazing and courageous Mothers worldwide who are caring for the upcoming generation amongst increasing challenges in our economic and ecologic systems. At WECAN, we are working everyday in our advocacy programs and projects to usher in a future of hope and well-being for Mother Earth and the next generations.  We are working in solidarity with women around the world to defend and protect our waters, our air, our forests, our oceans, our seeds, and the very web of life.

Renewing and deepening our relationship with Mother Earth and our communities empowers us to act with great strength and passion.

Today, in honor of Mothers, our shared Mother Earth and Future Generations, we are excited to announce a series of Education and Advocacy On-Line Trainings for Women in the U.S. Mobilizing for Climate Justice.  Please join one or all of our trainings, which are part of our 6-point plan as women come together and mobilize for climate action and justice in the lead up to the November/December 2015 United Nations Paris climate negotiations (COP21), the 2016 U.S. elections and beyond. To stay informed about the trainings and this growing nationwide initiative, please register here.

For those of you not located in the U.S., you are most welcome to participate in these sessions, and also please stay tuned because in the near future, WECAN will be opening international calls to our growing global network.

Today we like to remember the inspiring words of Patricia Gualinga, Indigenous Kichwa leader from Sarayaku, Ecuador, "When women decide to do something -when we are firm and radical- we will be successful and make it happen! Everywhere on the planet, we have such a powerful impact."

Happy Mother's Day and Happy Mother Earth Day to all!
