National 211 Awareness Month
A message from our CEO, Bill York:
"February is National 211 Awareness Month, and on February 11 (2/11 Day), communities across the country recognize the essential role 211 plays in connecting people to help when they need it most. At 211 San Diego, we’re using this moment not just to celebrate—but to amplify awareness of why 211 San Diego and the collective work of our partners matters now more than ever.
This month also marks the launch of our 211 San Diego Awareness Campaign: San Diegans Helping San Diegans. We’re launching this campaign to elevate understanding of 211’s value among decision-makers, partners, and the broader community—and to reinforce 211 as a trusted, irreplaceable community asset. Every day, 211 sits at the intersection of health care, housing, food access, mental health support, and crisis response. As social and economic pressures grow, our role as a connector for our clients and our partners has never been more critical.
To help spread the word, we’re inviting you—our Friends of 211—to join us on social media throughout the month, especially today on 2/11 Day.
We’ll be posting regularly and would be grateful if you would like, share, repost, or comment to help extend our reach. A few clicks from you can help ensure more San Diegans know where to turn when they need support."

Ramadan
"The holy month of Ramadan is celebrated by Muslims on the 9th month of the Islamic lunar calendar all around the world and is a time of introspection. Muslims abstain from eating and drinking during daytime to remind themselves of those less fortunate and to strengthen their relationship with their faith. Muslims gather and take part in different activities, such as engaging in social events, feasts, prayers and acts of charity. During Ramadan, Muslims break their dawn-to-dusk fast with a community-focused meal called Iftar."

The nonprofit sector is an essential public service, not an optional one. Shifting federal policies and funding gaps are straining our region's civic infrastructure. 211 San Diego is in a unique position to not just deliver services but also provide real-time data that reflect not just the needs of our clients but also the community and our partners in the nonprofit sector. USD's Nonprofit Institute (NPI) is also pivotal to our nonprofit sector, supporting nonprofit leaders through their training, strategic partnerships, and research which includes the 2026 State of Nonprofits & Philanthropy Annual Report being released today!

The CIE Partner Network works to improve the overall service delivery system for clients. Our meeting provides a forum for partners to share updates about ongoing CIE Initiatives, share trends in our community, and collaborate on how we as a network are leveraging our partnership, data sharing, and the CIE technology platform to address the social determinants of health and increase health equity.
Join us for a range of content. Each month, we may dive into the latest technology projects, elicit feedback on the platform’s care coordination tools, or spotlight programs and supports for unique populations. The partner gathering is a space to engage with peers across our shared network. Join us on the 4th Thursday of every month (except November and December) at 9:00 am via Zoom.
The next CIE Partner gathering is on February 26, 2026
Time: 9:00 am-10:00 am
