The Future of Work is Diverse, Inclusive, Just and Equitable

GlobalMindED closes the equity gap by creating a capable, diverse talent pipeline through connections to role models, mentors, internships for low-income students, returning adults, First Gen to college and inclusive leaders who teach them, work with them and hire them.
Today is First Gen to College Day! We celebrate our community of leaders who are First Gen to College and First Gen graduates, those who work with them and those who want to hire them. We also celebrate our employees who are majority First Gen, our Board who is majority First Gen and our Executive Leadership Council, also majority First Gen.

We kicked off the week of celebrations with many of our partner colleges in Atlanta with a six hour special event last Friday, featuring major First Gen leaders (see photos below). You can watch all or part of that event and you will feel like you have a first row seat to the First Gen stars: complete video of Resolve To Solve, thanks to WABE/PBS Atlanta.

We salute you, your tenacity, your ability to break trail and your spirit of generosity to help others succeed along your brave path.

Also, today is Election Day, so VOTE. We have high hopes that many of the emerging leaders we serve will someday be among our mayors, Governors, House of Representatives, senators, Supreme Court justices and running our nation from the highest level office of President to the most important job of administrative assistant to diplomat and ambassador.   All levels of government service require a capable, diverse talent pipeline and you will bring a lot to the table if you decide to pursue these careers!

Whether you are interested in politics or not, voting is your key right and a way to express what matters most to you- something many countries around the world cannot do because they aren’t an organized democracy. So, show your leadership and open your mind and heart to all opinions, however different, in respectful and mutually connected ways. We are all Americans.
