Cultivating creativity at CUES

Art students at Carrollton Upper Elementary are always learning about new techniques and practicing them through creating their own masterpieces. Ms. Abby Coppersmith, CUES art teacher, instructed students on how oil pastels interact with watercolor paints to create contrast for their designs.

Grants in action: Leaping into interactive learning

This week at Carrollton Elementary, Ms. Maryann Elliott's kindergarten class strengthened their reading and listening comprehension with the interactive LeapReader storybooks purchased through a classroom grant funded by the CCS Education Foundation. The pens help students track the text and read unfamiliar words, developing their independent reading skills.

Join CCS as we honor our veterans!

We are honored to recognize the veterans whose names were submitted by our school community at this year’s Veterans Day ceremonies on Tuesday, Nov. 11. If you have a veteran guest included in the program, we invite them to join us for one of our recognition ceremonies at the CHS main gym. We look forward to celebrating and honoring their service!
