A Message for the Tufts Medicine Integrated Network, including primary and specialty care physicians, practice administrators, Network leaders (Presidents, Administrators, and Medical Directors) and Network staff:
At Tufts Medicine, we know it takes all kinds of doctors to deliver on the promises of healthier communities and more personal care.

That’s why we created a system that welcomes and values doctors of all backgrounds and interests, working together to meet the needs of our diverse communities.

Some of you work in our hospitals. Others prefer private practice. Some are specialists. Others focus on primary care. Our doctors are researchers, teachers, scientists and technologists. You are leaders, innovators and visionaries.

And all are critical members of the Tufts Medicine family.

We also know the past two years have been a time like no other.
The COVID-19 pandemic, pressures on emergency departments and hospital beds, and the need to keep people safe and healthy has challenged us all. Our doctors’ ability to respond to these changes, find new ways of working, and maintain the highest standards of care is nothing short of amazing. Even amid the toughest of challenges, you continue to innovate, become better connected, and make, support and work together through difficult decisions.
Collaborating across our network, you are reimagining medicine, designing new care models, touching, saving and improving lives.

On this National Doctors’ Day, we recognize and celebrate your dedication, compassion and resilience. Your tireless work in collaboration with our patients, students, and all members of our care teams is what makes us different — and collectively, better.

With deep respect and appreciation.

The Tufts Medicine Integrated Network is a distinctively different population health enterprise and value-based care contracting entity. It comprises 2,300 primary care and specialist physicians and advanced practice clinicians, working as Tufts Medicine employees or in private practice, delivering care in community and hospital settings. The Network’s purpose is to build healthier communities and to create healthy, rewarding experiences for our members and care teams. The Network was launched in July 2021 by building upon the legacies of two long-standing, high-performing organizations – Lowell General Physician Hospital Organization and New England Quality Care Alliance (NEQCA).
