Combining her love of classical music with electronic dance and hip-hop, California artist Lindsey Stirling is a violinist, dancer, and performer who surpassed early viral fame with a solo career that captured an audience in the pop mainstream. Early on, she was known for her YouTube cover videos and for competing on the 2010 season of America's Got Talent, but she quickly became a crossover success after the release of her self-titled 2012 solo debut. As the decade progressed, she issued multiple Top Five, gold-certified albums, including 2014's Shatter Me and 2016's Brave Enough, both of which found her expanding her sound with singers including Lzzy Hale, Dia Frampton, Christina Perri, Rivers Cuomo, and others. Stirling has continued to explore new musical territory, releasing the 2017 holiday album Warmer in the Winter and collaborating with vocalists Amy Lee and Elle King on her chart-topping 2019 album Artemis. In 2020 she joined Avril Lavigne for the song "We Are Warriors" and in 2021 paired with Mako on the song "Lose You Now."

Information Technology Update from Bsquared Intel
At the end of May this year, Verizon released it’s annual Data Breach Investigations Report. The trend is the same as the last few of their reports in that roughly 80% of the data breaches they saw were perpetrated by external threat actors. Of these breaches, over 80% were financially motivated.

The top way data breaches occurred was hacking web applications and the top action used that allowed bad actors in was through the use of stolen(hacked) login credentials.

A couple of tips:
  • Assure software, code, and hardware are up to date.
  • Ensure that proper authentication is tested and implemented.

The external stuff like your business website or social media platforms you use are in our wheelhouse when it comes to protecting your organization. Our entry service is our Cyber Catastrophe Forecast which shows you at a high level how susceptible you are to a cyber incident. As a Chamber member you’ll receive 20% off this service. To learn more and to see if you qualify, please use the contact info below.

Also make sure to follow our socials as we’re gearing up for a giveaway this month which we’re announcing there.
