ISU Alumni Bonnie and Alan Frantz Continue Legacy of Service with New Scholarship Endowment

ISU Debate Team Achieves Success at Prestigious Northwest Tournaments

The Idaho State University James M. and Sharon E. Rupp Debate Society showcased strong performances at back-to-back tournaments hosted by Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, from October 10-12, 2025. The team competed against a field of more than 650 entries from 37 universities from across the nation.

Join Amy Wuest (Office for Research) and Matthew Levay (CAL Faculty Research Development Fellow) for a hands-on workshop designed to help College of Arts and Letters faculty in the humanities, arts, and social sciences navigate the process of applying for external grants and fellowships.


Topics will include how to:

  • Identify the right grant or fellowship for your work
  • Tailor your application to fit the opportunity
  • Present your ideas to nonspecialist reviewers
  • Avoid common pitfalls in the application process

This session offers practical, tangible advice for CAL faculty at any stage of their careers.
