Earlier this month, Scott Williams, a current glioblastoma patient, rode all 444-miles of the Natchez Trace. This special ride, dubbed Erase the Trace, raised $29,235 to date to support glioblastoma research and find new treatment options for what is considered the most aggressive form of brain cancer.
Accompanied and guided by CARES' cyclist Johnny Burrell and five additional friends and riders, Williams traveled across three states and faced flat tires, tornado warnings, and even food poisoning!
Williams finished his ride in Franklin, TN, joined by our Founder Scott Hamilton to ride the final miles to the finish line at the historic Loveless Cafe. This meaningful ride touched the lives and hearts of countless donors and supporters across 27 states and 3 countries, brought together by Williams to honor those they know impacted by glioblastoma. Everyone at CARES is honored to have been a part of this incredible journey and we look forward to making Erase the Trace an annual event.
