The Presbyterian Women's Brunch

The special and lovely event had 33 in attendance. We enjoyed a colorful, spring atmosphere, a delicious brunch and terrific speaker, Sarah Porter, from Cook Community Clinic and a very surprised Honorary Life Membership recipient, Beth Succup, along with Linda’s relaxed, cheerful welcome and presiding over the program.

At its stated monthly meeting on April 15th, 2026, upon recommendation from the DCPC Social Justice Committee, the Session of Davidson College Presbyterian Church approved a statement of support for our immigrant neighbors. Capital Campaign News As our “Opening Doors” capital campaign approaches the halfway mark of our final year of payments, the Finance Committee directed $425,000 to be transferred to our Campus Ministry Endowment. This endowment, created by the campaign, will ultimately fund a significant portion of the costs of our campus ministry staff position.Thank you to everyone who has completed their Opening Doors pledge. Thank you to everyone who plans to finish their pledge this year. We want to finish endowing our campus ministry position as planned and need those final payments to do so. Sharing Your Generosity Due to your generous giving, DCPC had a budget surplus in 2025. In line with our annual budget, the Session of DCPC set aside 15% of that surplus for missions. Our missions committees chose to allocate that money to: the Sigona Academy in Kenya, for the purchase of furniture for the new classrooms we helped fund in 2025; the Ada Jenkins Center in Davidson, to refurbish a mobile dental clinic as a mobile shower and laundry facility; and Caterpillar Ministries, for their work in the Huntington Green neighborhood in Huntersville. Thank you for supporting our mission partners with your generous giving to DCPC!
