Dear Friends, Partners, and Supporters,

In 2005, 3rd Street began as a small volunteer-led grassroots effort in Bayview, born out of the belief that youth in District 10 deserve the same access to health care, education, housing, and opportunity as their peers across San Francisco.

Twenty years later, that belief has grown into a movement.

Just last year, we served more than 1,800 young people across the city, providing over 1,000 health clinic visits, 600 counseling sessions, and placing 175 youth in safe housing through our programs. These numbers tell a powerful story, but they represent more than services delivered. They represent young people gaining stability, healing, and a pathway to opportunity when they need it most.

Celebrating 20 Years of Growth and Impact

From our Bayview Hunters Point roots, 3rd Street has expanded into more than 15 locations throughout San Francisco, both our own sites and co-located programs with partners who share our vision. Together, we’ve built justice partnerships that open new doors for young people navigating complex systems, expanded into rapid rehousing for young families, and are now taking the next step with transitional housing.

This November, we will celebrate the grand opening of 3900 3rd Street, our Just Home Project, a 19-unit program that will provide young adults with safe housing, stability, and the support needed to rebuild their lives. At the same time, we’ve strengthened our Behavioral Health Services, ensuring that young people facing some of the toughest challenges have access to care and community.

These milestones are not just wins for 3rd Street, they are wins for every young person we serve, every family we support, and every partner who has walked alongside us on this journey.

“Securing housing has given me safety and a foundation for my future, and none of this would have been possible without you and your team.”

As we step into our 20th year, we celebrate not only where we’ve come from, but also the future we’re building together. Thank you for being part of this story, your story, our story, and most importantly, the story of the young people who inspire us every day.

With gratitude and determination,
