From South Central LAMP’s beginnings, the focus has been on women and children. Throughout the years, South Central LAMP’s administrators, educators, and staff have listened closely to the women in the neighborhood. They have created programs that support their integral human development and those that foster the growth of their children.
For many women, South Central LAMP has been a transformative experience, one that has grounded them and provided an opportunity to sprout their own wings. Their participation in the programs and interaction with the South Central LAMP community has brought new friendships, confidence, and a burgeoning self-esteem. They have found their voice and learned skills to cope with and manage life. The women have developed their innate gifts and discovered new ones, all of which have enhanced their lives and enriched the lives of their families.
As we approach Easter and celebrate Spring, both seasons of transformation and new life, I congratulate the women of South Central LAMP. May the blessings of Easter and the wonder that comes with the newness of Spring, fill their hearts with joy and their lives with happiness.
