Happy Independence Day Everyone!
“Nothing is more precious than independence and liberty”
- Ho Chi Minh
As we celebrate more than 200 years of the nation's Independence with family gatherings, concerts, picnics, parades and fireworks, let us remember of its essence and reflect on what it means to us today,
individuals and nation,
to be free… and how free are we?…
To be independent is (as described in the dictionary): to be free from outside control; capable of thinking or acting for oneself; not influenced of affected by others; not depending on something else for strength or effectiveness; autonomous; self-governing; distinct and sovereign!
While living in interconnected and interdependent world, our individual independence provides the room for our self expression and freedom, which ultimately and intimately affects our world. Our individual freedom affects our collective freedom.
So, how much and how often we remember and express our sovereignty, independence and true Self? How much we truly celebrate it?(and I'm not talking about fireworks, hotdogs and drinks) How firmly we are standing in the knowing of
What We Are
that liberates us all?...
“Independence is Happiness", -
