Builders Ball Gala to Honor Dedicated Partners
Los Angeles Builders Ball® 2019
We are looking forward to returning to the historic Beverly Hilton Hotel on the evening of Wednesday, March 9, 2022, for our Los Angeles Builders Ball®. We are excited to be honoring Clark Construction as our Builder of the Year, City National Bank as our Foundation Builder and actor, director and long-time Habitat LA volunteer, Chandra Wilson, as this year's Dream Builder. We are proud to partner with all our honorees and grateful to welcome back City National Bank as Presenting Sponsor of the event.

We hope you will join us for an evening of celebration—with musical guest Morris Day and The Time—at the Los Angeles Builders Ball. For information on tickets and sponsorship opportunities, click here.
Advocating for Affordable Housing
Habitat LA and more than 100 advocates, including board members, partner families, and staff from Habitat affiliates across California, marched (virtually) to Sacramento for our annual California Advocacy Day meeting with the state legislature. Habitat LA’s President and CEO Erin Rank presented Senator Bob Hertzberg with the Legislator of the Year Award for his extraordinary leadership in championing affordable housing.

If you would like to learn more about Habitat LA’s advocacy efforts, please contact Patrick Sunpanich, Senior Director of Government Affairs.
Enjoying the Peace and Comfort of Home
New homeowner Maria believes that some things are meant to be. Homeownership was one of those things and she never gave up on that dream. She and her daughter Valery recently moved into one of four houses at a Habitat LA development in South Los Angeles. See how they’re settling in—and learn how Maria began her journey to homeownership.
Millennium Homes Update
We’re getting closer each day to completing the 10-home affordable housing development in the Washington neighborhood of Long Beach. With the project slated for completion this summer, we'll soon be announcing the families who will be moving into their new homes. We are grateful to the many sponsors and donors for their generous support of this development, including the Habitat LA Catholic Coalition and Fluor Enterprises.

Fun fact: The Millennium Homes development includes the 1,001st home that Habitat LA has built, rehabbed, or repaired in greater Los Angeles since our founding more than 30 years ago.

In Celebration of Community
Collaboration. Evolution. Community. Washington neighborhood resident Teri Erby shared just a few of the reasons she and her neighbors were celebrating the culmination of their five-month Community Navigator leadership program.

Habitat LA Catholic Coalition Featured in Angelus Magazine
Congratulations to the Habitat LA Catholic Coalition! The organization, comprised of volunteers from parishes across Los Angeles, is featured in the January edition of Angelus magazine for their ongoing partnership with Habitat LA to build homes, communities, and hope. Angelus magazine recently visited with volunteers from the Catholic Coalition as they worked on Habitat LA homes under construction in Long Beach’s Washington neighborhood.

Volunteer at the ReStore
If “volunteer more” was on your New Year’s resolution list, the Habitat LA ReStore team would like to connect! Volunteers are the heart of our ReStores and play a vital role in Habitat LA’s local homebuilding mission—and we’ve just extended our Core Volunteer Program to include ReStore volunteers.
