Distinguished Alumni Award Nominations

The Kishwaukee College Foundation is accepting nominations for the 2025 Distinguished Alumni Award. The award recognizes outstanding alumni who have made an impact in the Kish community. Nominations are being accepted now through August 1, 2025.

Foundation Board Update

At the May 28 Foundation Board meeting, the Board recognized outgoing member, Dave VanBuren. We greatly appreciate his efforts and commitment to the College and the community. 


Also at the May meeting, the Board approved a new slate of officers for Fiscal Year 2026: Rose Treml, President; Amy Oster, Vice President; Cole Johnson, Treasurer; and Jose Hinojosa, Secretary.

Kish STEM students benefit from ‘Smitty’ Assistantship

Three Kishwaukee College students participated in science-based learning opportunities during the 2024-2025 school year thanks to the

Robert L. “Smitty” Smith Assistantship.


The assistantship offers hands-on learning and research opportunities under the supervision of Kish faculty for students pursuing science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) programs.
