November 2024
Dear Smart & Savvy Classmates,
It’s hard to believe that our 25th year reunion is coming in a few short months. We missed celebrating our much-anticipated 20th reunion due to COVID restrictions. We are all overdue in seeing one another physically in person on our beautiful campus. Now more than ever we are reminded of the importance of our alumnae connections and the ability to celebrate. The AADC Alumnae Reunion Weekend 2025 will take place in person on June 6-7th. We have started to prepare for this special occasion.
The Class of 2000 plans to celebrate our 25th reunion with souvenirs and other activities. We welcome your participation on the Douglass 2000’s 25th Reunion Planning Committee. Please e-mail us at dc2000classreunion@gmail.com for committee dates and times.
The next four general reunion meetings (for the activities to which all alumnae will be invited) will be held virtually via Zoom. The Reunion Committee will meet on:
January 6, 2025
February 3, 2025
April 7, 2025
May 12, 2025
For more information, please contact the Reunion Planning Committee Chair, Elena Anastasiou Rossi ’78, at lecgrossi@comcast.net.
We are looking forward to seeing you at the on-campus Reunion events. Please visit www.douglassalumnae.org/reunion for more information and details.
In addition, I want to bring a few items to your attention:
Class Officer Nominations – Nominations for the 2025-2030 term are being accepted electronically. Nominate yourself or a classmate for any of the following positions: President, Vice President, Secretary, Fund Agent, Alumnae Council Representative and Historian. Vote electronically online (see below), or send the name, address, telephone number, and email address of your nominees to aadams@douglassalumnae.org. Nominations are due by January 31, 2025.
Missing Classmates – We have provided a list of classmates for whom we do not have contact information (see below). If you can provide any information, please contact Andrea Adams at the AADC at aadams@douglassalumnae.org. Help us reach out to fellow classmates and let them know of Reunion. Please remind our classmates to update their contact information with the AADC. Remember: we cannot invite classmates to reunion if we don’t know how to get in touch with them via mail, e-mail, or telephone.
Authors, Artists, and Artisans Corner: Discover how you can be a part of this inspiring alumnae showcase by filling out the information form (see below) or email Lorrie Delaney at ldelaney@douglassalumnae.org if you have any questions.
On behalf of all the Class Officers, we look forward to seeing you on Friday, June 6, and Saturday, June 7, for the AADC Alumnae Reunion Weekend 2025. Please keep an eye out for upcoming mailings and e-mail notifications in the coming months with additional details.
Sincerely,
Lena Respousis
