Celebrating Older Adults
From the Heart: Older Adults Navigating Wellness

The City of Redwood City recognizes Senior Citizens Day as part of our IDEAL program's focus on inclusion, diversity, equity, accessibility and leadership (IDEAL) across Redwood City. Senior Citizens Day is coming up on Sunday August 21. It's is a day to recognize the contributions of older adults to our community, as well as inform ourselves about issues affecting this population. One way to do so is by attending From the Heart: Older Adults Navigating Wellness on August 22, from 2-5pm at the Downtown library.

At the resource fair, you'll learn of local wellness resources, and beginning at 3pm, Lived Experience speakers from San Mateo County will share from their hearts the skills and tools they use in navigating challenges commonly faced in older adult communities. Their conversational styles highlight lively stories of decisions and hope and will show how we all will thrive at any age.
