Celebrating 40 Years!

The Oxnard College Foundation was established in January 1983 by a group of committed campus and community leaders who shared a strong passion for supporting the growth of Oxnard College and the success of its students.

In honor of the impact created by the Foundation over the past 40 years, we'll celebrate the milestone throughout the 2023 calendar year. You'll see the return of past programs, recognition of alumni and campus leaders, establishment of new opportunities, and much more. We'll pay tribute to the leaders, contributions, and special moments over the years.

Help celebrate the Foundation's 40th Birthday by making a financial contribution. Unless otherwise selected, all Anniversary donations will be allocated to the Oxnard College Basic Needs program enabling students to continue their studies, despite the financial hardships they're facing.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Investing in Limitless Potential

Removing all barriers to pursuing educational goals is the driving force of the Foundation's scholarship program. Partnering with generous partners, the Foundation awards over $200,000 in scholarship grants to Oxnard College students. These awards are investments in each scholarship recipient's future. The return on investment is limitless, as the potential each recipient possesses is family and community changing.

Recent changes to the scholarship grant program provide students with more time to complete applications, an easier-to-complete application, and direct access to receiving financial awards.

MARKETPLACE

Inspiring Community

The weekly Marketplace serves the local community but, in of itself, is a community. The final three months of 2022 featured special events for the entire community to enjoy. The first was the Trick-or-Treat event in October, which featured games, activities, and distributing lots of candy. Radio Lazer hosted a live remote. November’s event displayed gratitude to marketplace vendors. In addition to liven entertainment, a team of students, staff, and board personally visited with vendors, handing each a breakfast box. December's event featured Santa and the Grinch, who helped distribute toys to 1,000 young children. Special thanks to Juarez Tacos and Radio Lazer for helping place bright smiles on so many children throughout the day.

The Community Marketplace is open Sundays from 8am-3pm. Shop for household items, gifts, food, and grab something to eat from 100+ vendors on the Oxnard College campus. For more details, go to www.oxnardcollegefoundation.org/marketplace.
