The Southern Economic Advancement Project created the Federal Funding Outlet to serve as an online resource portal catering to local and community leaders to obtain information, resources and tools on federal grants and funding programs with the goal of promoting an equitable and just recovery. These discretionary grants are different from formula or block grants – they are competitive, require an application, and are reviewed based on the quality of the application. This step-by-step guide is an easy way to quickly see the grants and learn more about their eligibility.

Celebrating Women Religious Across

South Carolina

Women religious throughout South Carolina joined together for the recent Collaboration for Ministry Initiative (CMI) program. This weekend was one of fellowship, learning, and faith, complete with a number of guest speakers and a visit from Bishop Jacques Fabre-Jeune, CS!

We are proud to have been the hosts of this gathering for nearly two decades and are so appreciative of the dedication these women have shown to communities across South Carolina.

PSTA Launches

Education Funding Dashboard

The Palmetto State Teachers Association has released a new education funding dashboard developed by the South Carolina Office of Revenue and Fiscal Affairs. The tool showcases how each school district is spending their taxpayer dollars. The tool shows information on items like teacher salaries, revenue, percentage of students in poverty, and expenditures per student.

In a recent release announcing the dashboard, PSTA Director of Government Affairs Patrick Kelly said, "I think this tool will help because it empowers advocates, it empowers community members, it empowers local board members to ask the right questions that can hopefully lead to the answers that contribute to better outcomes for students."
