Sister Mary Veronica, Head of School at St. John Paul the Great High School, shared a special video (featuring many of our graduates) in honor of our Feast Day today.

Constant Contact is Improving our Communication
With each Constant Contact message that we send from the school, we receive feedback on what percentage of our distribution list opens the message.

When we first started sending these messages we were just below 70% of the messages being opened. In the last few messages, we have had nearly 80% of the messages opened. In the world of E-blasts that is really strong engagement with your audience.

Please respond to this message if you want a family member added to our e-blast distribution list or if you would like to no longer receive these messages. We want to make sure we are reaching the right audience.
Drama Club Announcement
Ms.Ferraioli (Thompson) will be back as our Director for the 2020 production of Singing In The Rain, Jr. on March26, 27 & 28. Our production website will be updated soon. In the meantime if you are new to Drama Club, we are open to K-8, provide dramatic instruction with an experienced and enthusiastic Director and experienced music, choreographers, costume and artistic directors.

Spirit Wear Orders Close Tonight
The deadline for Spirit Wear orders is tonight at 11:59 p.m. Please follow the link below to enter your order.

Students may wear Holy Cross Academy t-shirts, spirit wear shirts, Presidential Fitness Award t-shirts, and HCA warm up suits for their physical education uniform.

Holy Cross Academy Ice Cream Social & Cake Walk this Sunday!
Cake Walk time is just two days away!

Please join us on Sunday from 4:00 - 7:00 at HCA for our Holy Cross Academy Ice Cream Social and Cake Walk. Cake drop off is from 3:00 - 3:45. Cake judging takes place at 4:00. There will be winners in four categories. Each family is eligible to win one cake.

Thanks so much for everyone who has stepped up to volunteer for this event to make it a success. It will be a success thanks you your help!
Attention all Future HCA Volunteers: 
"Protecting God's Children ®  for Adults  (VIRTUS)  training session is scheduled for Saturday, September 28 at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Academy. The session will last about 4 hours. Please pre-register at  www.virtusonline.org . 

If you plan to volunteer at Holy Cross Academy this year then you will need to go through this training. This includes fieldtrip chaperones, coaches, Scout volunteers, drama volunteers, etc. It is a one-time training so if you think you might volunteer anytime this year then we suggest you sign up for the HCA session so that you won't have to travel to another location.  

You must also complete the Office for the Protection of Children and Young People (OPCYP) Background Check Application to volunteer but you do not have to complete it prior to attending the VIRTUS training. You may pick up an OPCYP instruction packet in the office or call if you're not able to stop in. Keep in mind that you must arrive on time for the VIRTUS training as there will be no admittance after 9:00 a.m. Thank you!
Knights of Columbus Scholarship
Information on the Knights of Columbus Scholarship Program is in the link below. Families that have applied for financial aid through FACTS Grant & Aid may apply for this scholarship for the 2019-20 school year. Applications must be postmarked by  September 30, 2019 . Holy Cross Academy will provide verification that the family meets the school's criteria for financial aid. Parents should not submit any financial information with the application. 

St. Cecelia Choir for Grades 2-8
Mr. David Uschold, Director of Music at St. Mary's Church, is inviting all 2nd through 8th grade Holy Cross Academy students to participate in St. Cecelia's Choir. This is St. Mary's Parish children's choir.

Rehearsals are Thursday afternoons from 4:45-6:00 at the parish. St. Cecelia Choir sings at 8:30 a.m. Sunday Masses. For more information and to sign up, please click the link below.
