This event is part of our Library Takeover series. This program provided one-time grants to groups in the community to develop programs that would help us connect with people who don’t normally use the Library.
Are you curious about how you can be a better advocate to the transgender and non-binary friends, family, and neighbors in your life? Join us on March 30th, the eve of International Transgender Day of Visibility, from 6-7:30pm for an engaging and interactive evening workshop hosted by the Redwood City Public Library and San Mateo County Pride Center. Building on last year’s popular “Trans 101” workshop, this “Trans 201” program will encourage participants to move beyond trans visibility to build a better understanding, support, and celebration of transgender identities in our community. Directly following the event, we will hold space for community dialogue and button making. This event is free, virtual and open to all audiences! Register here for this virtual event. Free art kits are available at the Downtown Library from March 21 to March 31, while supplies last.
