Greetings!

The warmer weather has brought with it positive developments in our work that I am happy to share. I want to start by thanking all our donors who contributed to our Flood Fund for responding to our call to action right away and raising funds for those affected by flash floods in Iran.

Our teams on the ground have been identifying families that require medium-term support, and we are hoping to support at least 1,000 students and their families for a minimum of six months to help them get back on their feet. In addition, we are distributing food packages and upwards of 3,000 school supply kits across the affected regions so that families can focus on rebuilding their lives as we provide nutritional resources and supplies for children to finish up the school year.

We received the funds raised via our Facebook fundraiser on Wednesday, which we will be able to now utilize moving forward. Supporting 1,000 families is a small step in a long-term plan to help the communities affected to help them not only rebuild and heal, but to also improve their communities and thrive. With Mother’s Day this Sunday in the United States, please donate to our flood fund so that we can support all the mothers and caretakers rebuilding their homes and lives while also supporting the children.

With gratitude,

Kamyar Lashgari

1,000 Food Baskets for 1,000 Families
The majority of the children that Child Foundation sponsors are in countries where Ramadan, which started this past Sunday, is nationally observed. This can be a heightened time of food insecurity for many of our communities. While Child Foundation is NOT a religious organization, we recognize that this is a time period where food baskets can make all the difference for our children and their respective families.

This year, we estimate the cost of each food basket for a small family is approximately $25. This means that your contribution of  $100 can feed four families . Regardless of nationality, religion, or culture, empathy and generosity are universal values that we can all agree on. Donate generously this fasting season by clicking here

Sponsor Highlight
Child Foundation is lucky to have the support of over 5,000 donors, each with their own stories of why they support the children that they do. One of our amazing sponsors is an individual by the name of Lincoln. Lincoln is Australian, and is currently living in the United States with his Iranian fiancé. He supports a young girl by the name of Fatemeh in Shahre Kord, Iran. To connect more with Fatemeh, Lincoln took the time to write a heartfelt letter to her in Farsi, a language he has only been learning for a year. We want to thank Lincoln for being one of our amazing sponsors and taking the time to get to know his sponsored child. To join Lincoln in sponsoring a child in need, visit our website .
