Forsyth County Pre-K Program

The NC Pre-K Program is designed to provide high-quality early childhood education that enhances school readiness for eligible 4-year-old children. As of January 2022, 680 children have been placed in the Forsyth County NC Pre-K program. Dolly Parton Imagination Library

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library and Smart Start have been working together to get books into the hands of North Carolina's youngest children through funding by the North Carolina General Assembly. We are excited to share that since June 2021, 100,587 books have been mailed to children in Forsyth County. To register another child or to share registration information with another guardian/ parent, select "Register Now".

Book of the Month

The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats features a young boy adventuring during the first snowfall of the season. It's available in both English and Spanish, but you can also find books that include both languages.
