The Chicago School of Professional Psychology annually selects and honors exemplary alumni with the Distinguished Alumnus/a of the Year Award. Join us in celebrating the four nominees that have been selected in recognition of outstanding contributions to the University, the profession of psychology, or related behavioral health professions.

Jolene Caro, Ph.D.

Dr. Jolene Caro
graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2019 with a Ph.D. in International Psychology and in 2014 with a M.A. in Forensic Psychology. Dr. Caro is currently a Research Scientist for Lockheed Martin Corporation, focusing on Intelligence Operations within the company's Corporate Engineering and Technology Operations.
With a 20-year career in the United States Air Force, Dr. Caro has a strong background in U.S. Governmental Affairs. Prior to her current position, she served as Director of Operations for a Cryptologic Services Group. Dr. Caro is currently a Cyber Security Fellow at the Cyber Security Forum Initiative, a member of the Board of Directors at the Leadership Transition Institute, and a mentor at American Corporate Partners. Recently, Dr. Caro participated in Walt Disney’s Leadership training to further her approach in leadership excellence, employee engagement, and quality service, and is currently enrolled in the Credential of Readiness course through Harvard Business School's online program.

Dr. Elena Kapustina
graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2011, following her passion for psychology after a long and successful executive carrier in Corporate Finance. She is the CEO and Founder of
Iris Healing Retreat
,
a residential addiction and mental health treatment center in Los Angeles. Subsequently, she opened an outpatient wellness center nearby to provide a full continuum of care for those seeking treatment from substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, and clients with PTSD/trauma.
Most recently, Dr. Kapustina founded a TMS and Neurofeedback Center to serve the local population struggling with major depressive disorder, OCD, sleep issues, anxiety, ADHA and many more. Dr. Kapustina is actively involved in the nonprofit community, an avid advocate of alternative sentencing, and also served as the editor for a charitable psychology magazine,

for many years.

Roblyn P. Lewter, Ph.D., M.B.A.

Dr. Roblyn Lewter
graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2015 and currently serves as Teaching Faculty for the TCSPP International Psychology Online campus. Dr. Lewter co-owns an international consulting firm,
Lewter and LaRow
, where the goal is to train individuals and entities globally on the importance of cultural and emotional intelligence. She has also continued to conduct research in the area of cultural intelligence, including a study in Germany on Yazidi women and children who escaped ISIS captivity. Dr. Lewter has presented at conferences on cultural intelligence globally, including at the esteemed American Educational Research Association Conference and the International Congress on Law and Mental Health. In addition, Dr. Lewter has provided cultural intelligence and human rights trainings globally in places such as Turkey, Israel, Morocco, Nepal, Haiti, Canada, and Germany.
With over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, Dr. Lewter has worked in areas including domestic violence, rape crisis, substance abuse, behavior modification, and welfare reform. She is also a founding member of USA Today’s “I Survived It” Facebook group, a social media community for those healing from trauma. With continued global partnerships in New Delhi, India, Sri Lanka, and Israel to name a few, and with other scholars at institutions throughout the States, Dr. Lewter incorporates the mission and values of International Psychology in all of her professional and life endeavors.

Drake Spaeth, Psy.D.

Dr. Drake Spaeth
graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2002 and currently serves as the Psychology Chair of the Humanistic and Clinical Psychology Department at Saybrook University. Prior to his current role, Dr. Spaeth spent 14 years as a faculty member for the TCSPP Chicago campus, during which he worked for the M.A. in Counseling Psychology program, the Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Ph.D. Counselor Education programs, and the Online Clinical Mental Health Counseling program.
Additionally, Dr. Spaeth is currently an adjunct faculty member for the International Psychology Department for the TCSPP Online campus. For the last year, Dr. Spaeth has served as the President of the American Psychological Association Division 32: Society for Humanistic Psychology.
