Bristol, R.I. – Fall is here and there's no better time to spend a day on the farm! Coggeshall Farm Museum is excited to announce that their popular Fall at the Farm program will return on weekends in October. Guests are invited to celebrate the season with games, a hay maze, crafts, talks, and more.
Coggeshall costumed historians are getting ready to preserve crops, stockpile firewood, and prepare to put the garden beds to rest for the winter. Visitors can learn about the historical uses of pumpkins and other fall foods, make cornhusk dolls, and leaf peep on the new nature trail.
Spooky season is also upon us and guests are invited to learn about the history of All Hallow's Eve, New England witches, and herbal remedies. Children are invited to search the farm for clues in an adapted trick-or-treat experience, Clues & Candy.
Most activities happen throughout the day. Timed talks include:
- All Hallows Eve - 11:00 AM
- Which Witch? - 12:00 PM
- Oh, My Gourd! Pumpkins and Other Fall Foods - 1:00 PM
- Potent Potions - 2:00 PM
Fall at the Farm runs Saturdays and Sundays (10:00 am - 4:00 pm) from October 1st through October 30th.
Ticket Prices: $10 for adults, $5 for kids
