The healing power of kindness is present in every gift.
It is our privilege to pass it on.

Celebrating the Journey

We are so thankful for the many bead makers who continue to put their hearts and artistic talents into making the journey a little brighter for patients and families.

This year marks 11 years since the start of the Journey Beads program, a partnership with Glass Art Kalamazoo and Bronson Children's Hospital. Over the years, volunteers have created countless glass beads to mark milestone moments for children undergoing cancer treatment and other illnesses. The colorful beads are each unique, and have a special meaning - from celebrating a birthday while in the hospital, to getting a transfusion, to having a visit from pet therapy.

A Special Night Out - Spring Fling 2024

Join us for a very special evening of hope and healing at the annual Spring Fling. This event supports programs and services at Bronson Cancer Centers in Battle Creek and Kalamazoo, and Bronson Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. The setting at Gilmore Car Museum makes for a perfect place to mix, mingle and take in the sights of classic cars throughout the museum grounds. Last year's event was a wonderful success, and we can't wait to see returning and new guests this year!

Supporting Postpartum Mental Health

Thanks to generous gifts and grants through Bronson Health Foundation, everyone giving birth at Bronson BirthPlace in both Battle Creek and Kalamazoo will receive the book "Good Moms Have Scary Thoughts." The book about postpartum mental health is written by nationally acclaimed author and expert Karen Kleiman.

Kristina Ledow, Bronson's perinatal emotional support coordinator (pictured), says a mom who recently received the book, responded by saying, “Wow. Thank you for taking this so seriously… my mental health. I can’t believe it.”

This is a wonderful example of our mission in action!

On the Course for a Good Cause

The 9-hole outing at the Kalamazoo Country Club will raise funds to add another high frequency jet ventilator to the Bronson Children's Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
