Ah, fall in Southern California - when I can go outside for a walk in the crisp (warm) air, hear the sound of leaves (dead grass) crunching under my feet and enjoy a hot (iced) cup of tea while I sit at my desk listening to the soft breezes (Santa Ana winds) outside.
While I don't usually get to experience the autumn that is romanticized on the Hallmark Channel, it's still a wonderful time to reflect on the past year with gratitude.
I am thankful first and foremost for my family and friends. They enrich and bring joy to my life every day.
I am thankful for my team of smart and engaging co-workers. They make work fun and worthwhile.
And I am thankful for all of you. Without you, there would be no Tripepi Smith. For those who are, have ever been or will be a Tripepi Smith client or partner, thank you from the bottom of my heart. It is because of you that our team is blessed with the opportunity to serve local governments and organizations. You allow us to do meaningful work.
I love what I do. I love knowing that I'm helping someone better understand issues in their community, know where to find local resources that they need or be prepared in the face of an emergency. But I only get to do that because of you.
So as I sit down to enjoy some turkey this year, I will raise a glass to each of you with gratitude and a full heart. I wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving, full of the blessings of family, friends, food and good cheer. Thank you for making Tripepi Smith a part of your team.
