Retrospective
Holy Week & Easter at Paul's Place
By Tim Kilpatrick, Director of Paul's Place After School
|
|
Holy Week and Easter were very busy and fun at Paul's Place. Our students enjoyed Easter Egg Hunts, a Rabbit Cake from Lee Cotterill, Easter Candy from Betsy Greene, and our Elementary School kids received an Easter Basket courtesy of a Paul's Place alumni, Yolene Jolicoeur. On behalf of our students, I thank everyone for their kindness and generosity.
This past weekend, the Delray Beach Youth Tennis Foundation included four of our students as Ambassadors at the Billie Jean King Cup Tournament held at the Delray Beach Tennis Center. They walked players out to center court before the matches, and threw t-shirts to the spectators. Best of all, they got to meet Billie Jean King, who very graciously took pictures with them and answered several questions.
This Sunday, April 23rd from 3:00 - 5:00pm, Executive Director Kathy Fazio, is hosting a Paul's Place Reunion in the Cottage with lots of refreshments, remembrances, and fellowship. Please join us if you are able.
Many thanks to each of you for all that you do to support our mission and ministry at Paul's Place, and to enhance the lives of our children & young people. You make all the difference!

I taught French and Latin for ten years in Chappaqua, New York and have been tutoring the above languages, (yes, on the telephone by face time or on Zoom) ever since. I love teaching one-on-one and I love my students. (I've been told they think the lessons are easy and fun.)
St. Paul's Church will benefit from your experience. Sign up for a package of five lessons at $10.00 a lesson (one hour), helping yourself and St. Paul's at the same time. Students new to the language receive their first book, gratis.

Preparing for climate impacts in Bangladesh, changing tornado risk, and fostering climate conversations in Hollywood
Bangladesh is one of the most vulnerable countries in the world to sea level rise. But there’s good news, too: “I tell my American friends, ‘You should send your skeptics to Bangladesh! The awareness of climate change here is the highest in the world,’“ says Saleemul Huq, director of the Bangladesh-based International Centre for Climate Change and Development. “We have gone through the doom and gloom phase. That’s yesterday’s news in Bangladesh.” The focus there now is on solutions, Huq says. [...]

Faithful Giving
Please help us to keep our mission and ministry strong. St. Paul's staff, operations, community outreach, and our missions to help the most vulnerable are dependent on Sunday offerings to keep afloat. When Sunday offerings decrease, our missions become at risk.
Safe and secure online giving on our website - St. Paul's has a safe and secure electronic donation service available allowing you to make single donations or set up recurring donations. Click the button below to visit our donation page:

Mail - If you prefer to send your pledge or other donation by check, please send your contribution to: St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 188 S. Swinton Avenue, Delray Beach, FL 33444.

Strengthening Ministries for Tomorrow’s Faithful
To ensure that the work of St. Paul’s lives on, remember St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in your estate planning. With a gift in your will, trust, or in some other way, you can make a lasting impact on those served through the mission and ministry of St. Paul’s.
One sentence in your will can make a lasting difference to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. To leave a gift in your will, simply share this sentence with your attorney or financial planner:
“I hereby bequeath to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Delray Beach, FL, the sum of $ (or % of my estate) to support its mission and ministry (or to the Legacy Fund of the Endowment Fund.)”
To talk with a member of the Endowment Fund Board about how you can continue to support the mission and ministry of St. Paul’s with a legacy gift, please contact Caren Kilpatrick, our Parish Administrator, at 561-276-4541 or caren@stpaulsdelray.org.
