Aloha ʻoukou ʻapau, Aloha everyone,
We hope you are all doing well during these challenging times. Like many organizations, we have made pivotal changes to raise awareness for Caring for Hawaiʻi Neonates. This year, Celebration of Aloha is going virtual. Our theme this year: 'Ohana Nui - Communities uniting to create one BIG 'ohana!
Over the year, we have helped 10 families with round trip airfares, transportation, books they can read to their baby while in the NICU, car seats, gift cards for gas, food, diaper bags with beds for babies, attendance to the nursing conference and so much more!
We will share powerful messages to recognize the first doctors and nurses who started the Kapi’olani Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and learn about Baby Saybie, the tiniest baby in the world who could fit into the palm of your hand. Leilani Kaho'ano, worked with Dr. Paul Wozniak a Neonatologist in San Diego at Sharp Mary Birch Hospital. Dr. Wozniak has over 30 years of Neonatology expertise, with a specialty of treating newborns, especially those born prematurely. To have had experience with Dr. Wozniak, and the medical specialty of taking care of neonates, is a true benefit to the organization.
A Big Mahalo to our donors and sponsors who have supported the organization at the golf tournaments. The events are important to help raise funds and awareness that support the continued work and education of our neonatal nurses and the families we serve.
For a humble donation of $10.00 you will have access to 3 events - Virtual Golf Experience, Virtual Charity Auction and Live Online Concert on October 24.
