Two St. Mark's parishioners have gone to rest with the saints in light. We welcome our family in faith, and all the friends and loved ones of the departed, to these two Celebration of Life services this week.

Please forward this email to loved ones who will come to St. Mark's for the first time this week.

St. Mark's Access and Parking Options

Entrance to the church is through our Parish Hall patio (not up the historic Sanctuary steps.)

Please reserve our parking lot for others if able to park elsewhere. Space is limited, as you can see below. There will be many attendees with limited mobility, new to St. Mark's, and/or nervous about driving the downtown area. The church has been getting quite a few phone calls this week about this.

Nearby paid parking is mapped below. Here are the addresses:

  • Ionia/Pearl City of Grand Rapids ramp at 28 Pearl St NW (recommended, $4/hr, and a short walk east along Pearl to our entrance)
  • 210 Ionia Ave Ellis Parking surface lot
  • GRCC DeVos Campus ramp at 432 Fountain Street, NE (tight fit for large vehicles)
  • Street parking along one-way streets Lyon and Fountain, which are enforced Mon-Fri 8am-7pm unless otherwise marked

The Kendall College lot we often use on Sundays is not available on other days due to their staff parking needs. Do not attempt to park there in a way that might block in their staff.
