The Rev. Alfonso J. Harrod, 98, a retired Elder in the Baltimore-Washington Conference, died Oct. 11. A wake will be held Friday, Oct. 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held on Oct. 22 at 10:30 a.m., preceded by a family hour at 10 a.m. at McKendree-Simms-Brookland UMC, at 2421 Lawrence St., NE, in Washington. Clergy who attend the Celebration of Life are invited to wear white robes and red stoles.
