Following a time of illness, the Rev. Dr. Yvonne Mercer-Staten, a retired Elder in the Baltimore-Washington Conference, died on Sunday, Oct. 30. Rev. Mercer-Staten retired from ministry in July 2022.
Services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19, at Eastern UMC, at 5315 Harford Road in Baltimore. The celebration of life will begin at 10 a.m. with a family hour, and continue with a homegoing service at 11 a.m.
