As someone who has had skin cancer 6 times on my face, I take sunscreen and hats very seriously! Sun safety 101: Wear a hat and clothes to protect your skin. Wear sunglasses to protect your eyes. Avoid hottest midday sun. Find -- or make -- shade. Bring umbrellas to the beach or picnic. Avoid sunscreens with these unsafe ingredients: PABA, trolamine salicylate and Oxybenzone. Generally recognized as safe & effective sunscreen ingredients: Titanium dioxide and Zinc oxide.
