CapeSpace is proud to be working with Housing Assistance Corp to provide turkeys to our less fortunate neighbors. Stuff a dollar in our jar. Funds will be used to purchase gift cards from local supermarkets for the families to purchase their turkeys.

What are your names?  Allison Read and Rick Carlson

What are your current jobs? What do you love most about it? We are travel advisors and franchise owners of Cruise Planners in Hyannis, MA . Our job is very rewarding as we help people explore and experience the world! It is wonderful working with a client to plan their vacation no matter where in the world it might be. From simple cruise vacations to more complex individual personal plans. Each vacation plan is an adventure. 

How long have you been a member of Cape Space? What’s your best experience thus far? We joined Cape Space in October and have been so pleased with the professional setting where we can meet clients. Being a home based business for over 18 years Cape Space is allowing us to take our business to the next level. 

When not working, what do you like to do?
Travel is our passion, when we are not in the office we like to travel, experience new destinations. Locally we like to explore Cape Cod beaches, find the best “chowdah”, walk the national seashore. And of course watching the Patriots and Red Sox!

What is one thing that you would like people to know about you?
We love our work and we are life long learners and have experienced so much through our travel. We also want people to know the value of working with a travel agent and let people know we never charge any fees for our services and have special promotions. We also like meeting new people and talking about what is on their bucket list.  Family and friends are very important to us and we are pleased to have made many new friends over the past 18 years in our business.

CapeSpace was delighted to host the following other events in October:

October 5 - What is a Coach? - Outstanding panel discussion on the emerging field of coaching and the gap it fills in the array of support systems available for business, career and life. It featured a live mini-session with a volunteer from the audience who later reported back a significant breakthrough as a result of her experience with the coaches!

October 19 - Cape Cod Technology Council Fall Social - Delighted to host the CCTC fall social. Well attended, fun event with the highlight being the announcement of a scholarship fund established in the name of long-time friend and mentor and retiring Cape Cod Five executive Dave Willard.

October 23 - Google & Facebook Analytics - Dale Shadbegian of 118Group and Allison Oberton of Cape Cod Digital Marketing once again demystified the mysterious for us in this sold out presentation.

October 26 - Digital Marketing Bootcamp - Many thanks to Cape & Plymouth Business Magazine and The Revolution Factory for including CapeSpace in a great afternoon filled with presentations on the latest in digital marketing.

October 28 & 29 - Art Retreat Weekend - Jenn Shurkus annual event, second time at CapeSpace, lots of fun and beautiful creations!

October 31 - Halloween! - Woolfie’s muffins in October? Spooky! And delicious! And, there was also a beautiful platter of hand crafted, locally made chocolate pumpkins and other treats from Hyannis chocolatier Kandy Korner. Not much was left for the kids.
