Due to the recent election results, we received a few questions and what that means for CenCal Health. The election of Donald Trump and the maintenance of a Republican Congress will ensure a change of philosophy and approach to health care policy from the federal government. That's about all we really know at this point in time. We can speculate, guess, and predict all we want, but really to no practical end. Things are often easier said than done, so taking campaign pronouncements at face value is not necessarily a prediction of the future.
We do know with confidence that, at some point, some type of change to federal health care policy will come and it will be our collective jobs to successfully implement it in a way that aligns with our mission. CenCal Health will continue working with public plans, our associations and the State of California to best position ourselves to influence whatever change may take place. We will continue to work with our community partners to ensure that we all work together to address any challenges or benefits that may come our way.
In the meantime, we will continue to do what we always do: do what's best for our members; our providers and the communities we serve; and prepare for whatever the future may bring.
