This Week at Centenary
Friday, November 13, 2020
Centenary’s Thanksgiving tradition has been to provide groceries to those who are in need. This is especially true this year when so many have lost jobs and even homes. Because of Covid-19, it presents a special challenge as we are not attending church in person but the Serving Team feels that will be worth the extra effort. We realize the current health crisis makes it difficult for some to spend much time shopping and realize that the list below is what we normally ask to be included, but do not feel that it is limited to those items. Know that anything you can contribute will be appreciated. Please double bag but it is not necessary to write “complete” on the bags. Serving team members will be in the parking lot between 1 and 2 on Sunday, November 22nd to accept the donations. We have been blessed as individuals and as a church family and ask that you all pay it forward.

  • 1 box powered milk
  • 1 large box of cereal
  • 1 jar of peanut butter
  • 2 packages of dried beans or peas
  • 2 cans of tuna or salmon
  • 2 cans of fruit
  • 2 cans of vegetables
  • 1 can of corned beef or beef stew
  • 1 lb box of spaghetti
  • 1 jar of spaghetti sauce
  • 3 boxes of macaroni and cheese
  • 1 box of cake mix

Thank you for thinking of others during the Holiday season.
Centenary has moved to a new kind of church record keeping solution called Realm®. It primarily serves the administrative needs of our staff, but it also offers some exciting opportunities to support the way you are involved in our church. Not only will this improve work life for our ministry staff, it will make it easier for our church family to connect with each other, keep up with what’s going on, and grow as a connected community of believers.

To find out more about Realm, please visit our website. Want to create an account? Please email Laura – centunitedmethodistchurch@gmail.com. She will need the email address that you would like connected to your account. From there, she will send an email with the link you need to set up your account.

New technology is never easy and can be confusing. Here is a PDF that will walk you through your new account. And you can always reach out to Laura. She is happy to set up a time to talk with you and help you feel comfortable with Realm
Ways to Make Your 2021 Pledge
You received a stewardship letter this week, with a pledge card. In error, the card says you can bring it with you to worship on November 29. Of course, we are not meeting in person for worship! Sorry for this oversight. But we do have two ways to pledge:
  1. Fill out and mail your pledge card to the church. We are receiving mail even on the days we are not there.
  2. If you have created a Realm account, you can make your pledge directly from your account. Click here for instructions!
Thank you for your generosity to Centenary!
