Collection for The Doorways

We have another opportunity to collect

non-perishable food for The Doorways.

The Doorways provides a home away from home for the families with a loved one at participating Richmond-area hospital partners. Our collection of canned and packaged goods will help supply the residents with the items they need to prepare their own meals. To find out more about The Doorways, please visit their website.

We will have a basket next to the parlor for your contributions from Sunday, March 12 through Sunday, March 26. Please help us provide food for those families during their time of need. Thanks, from the Serving Team.

UMCOR Sunday

March 19

Through the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) we are able to provide hope for communities and individuals whose lives have been upset by storms, wars, fires, displacement and climate change. This ministry is achieved exclusively through your generosity. UMCOR Sunday is a denomination wide celebration designed to raise awareness and support for UMCOR. The special offering Sunday underwrites the administrative costs associated with the operation of the ministry so that 100% of any donations for a specific appeal will go towards that project and not administrative cost. UMCOR would be unable to do this work without your support so please consider the good work they do for those in extreme need and help them continue this mission by donating this Sunday. You can give online by choosing UMCOR Sunday in the Fund pull down menu, or please write UMCOR Sunday in the memo line of your check.

MORE NEWS

Volunteers Needed for

Live Streaming Team!

We are so grateful for our small but faithful group of volunteers who have kept our services online through Covid and beyond. We need 3-4 more volunteers to keep this ministry going. We have 30-40 faithful worshipers online each week and this ministry is vital in keeping folks connected to our ministry. Training will be provided. The schedule for serving each Sunday is flexible. It's our hope to continue to have enough volunteers for people to serve every 4-5 weeks.

Please contact the pastor at srpastor@centumc.org if you'd be willing to serve.

Mission

Our mission is to change the world through love.

To acknowledge God’s love is, for each of us, a life-changing event.

As followers of Jesus, we share God’s love for all people, and work together to make our world a better place, one life at a time.
