Pastor Sooah's Easter Letter

Dear Centenary Family and Friends,

Grace and peace to you and your loved ones.

A few months ago, I came across a health article in The New York Times titled, “How to Eat for a Long and Healthy Life.” The article pointed out that while genetics do play a role in our health, our daily eating habits also have a significant impact on our long-term well-being. Even if it seems like a small part of our daily routine, what we consume matters. Because, for many of us, eating is not just about satisfying hunger. It’s about receiving good energy to live a full and healthy life.

Lent and Holy Week often invite us to reflect on what we eat, as some people begin to consider giving something up. But have you ever reflected not only on what we feed our bodies, but also on what we feed our hearts and souls?

What kind of spiritual food are you consuming each day?

What kind of voices, perspectives, and attitudes are filling your heart and soul? Most importantly, is your soul being nourished by the voice of God, or by something else?

Jesus came to us as the Bread of Life. Through His suffering and death, we have received God’s eternal saving grace. And as the old hymn says, we can face tomorrow with strength—because He lives! Even more importantly, God’s table is big enough for all—including you. God has set a spiritual table for you and is waiting for you to come and taste the peace, joy, and love that God has prepared for you.

We have several meaningful services and events planned during Holy Week. I warmly invite you and your loved ones to join us. Let’s remember Jesus’ love through His suffering and death, and celebrate the joy of His resurrection together:

  • Palm Sunday & Easter Egg Hunt: April 13 at 10:15 AM
  • Good Friday Service: April 18 at 7:00 PM
  • Easter Sunrise Service: April 20 at 7:30 AM (weather permitting)
  • Easter Sunday Service: April 20 at 10:15 AM
  • Holy Humor Sunday: April 27 at 10:15 AM

I know the weather has been unpredictable lately, and some of you have not been feeling well. I’m praying that God’s healing hands and loving protection will be with each of you. I miss seeing you and hope we can gather on Easter Sunday to celebrate the joy of resurrection.

May the blessings and joy of Easter fill your heart and life.

With love and hope,

Pastor Sooah

Centenary updates and Reminders

Good morning Centenary Children and Youth Families,

I hope you are all doing well.

We have a few reminders and updates.

EGG HUNT and PALM SUNDAY

This Sunday is Palm Sunday and our annual Egg Hunt. We will be continuing our Bread of Life curriculum and making Palm leaf crafts. We will also be making a bag for Egg Hunt collection!

The Egg Hunt is for both children and youth to enjoy. Friends and Family are welcome to attend. Our hunt will be rain or shine for our church community. If the weather is not good for an outside hunt, we are prepared to have the hunt inside.

YOUTH GROUP MEETING

SAVE THE DATE:

We will have our monthly youth group meeting April 27th and May 25th after fellowship.

I’m looking for to seeing everyone.

Many Blessings,

Grace
