Announcements

Sunday School Updates

Dear families,

I would like to let you know that we have started to prepare for our upcoming Children's Christmas Service, scheduled for December 11. Please check in with your child(ren) to see if they would like to share their musical talents as some have already expressed an interest in this area. We also have plenty of opportunities for children to read passages. I want to include all and I appreciate your help in doing so. I know we have a talented group of kids!

Also taking place on December 11 is our 2nd annual Gingerbread Bash event following a brief fellowship time after the church service. Please view the flyer attached and let me know if you have any questions. Friends and extended family members are welcome to join us. Pre-registration is required to ensure that we have a kit available for your family. You can simply let me know that your family will be participating (include how many children are in your group) or check in with one of our youth members following church service to get on the list by December 4 please.

I'm looking forward to a joy filled service and event on December 11 and I hope your family can join us!

Blessings,

Nicole Tierno, Sunday School Coordinator

ARE YOU ARTISTIC? DECORATE A STAR FOR CHARITY!

STARS FOR CHARITY is a volunteer group of artists who use their skills and individual styles to transform a five-inch wooden star into fine art. The stars are then auctioned on Ebay. Any remaining stars are sold at a live auction. All of the proceeds go to an agreed-on charity.

STARS FOR CHARITY was founded by William Bunting, an artist and member of New Dover United Methodist Church. He and his wife, Donna, are active volunteers in New Dover's Sandwich Bag Ministry ("Bread Breakers"). Last year, the group raised nearly $2,000, which was donated to two New Jersey food-based nonprofits: the Sandwich Bag Ministry and Community Food Bank of Hillside, which supplies food pantries throughout New Jersey.

If you would like to decorate a star for this year's auction, or for more information, please contact Bob Carlson. You can create more than one star if you wish. The deadline for turning in finished stars is November 20th.

  Bob Carlson, Mission Committee Chair
