Hunger Walk 2024

We invite everyone to join us for the Hunger Walk on Sunday, November 3, at 2 PM. The event will start and end at the Neve Shalom in Metuchen.

The Hunger Walk is an annual event hosted by houses of worship in Metuchen and Edison to help replenish our shared fund for neighbors in need.

This year, we will continue our tradition of earmarking 70 percent of our pledges to neighbors in need and 30 percent to an interfaith global nonprofit.

We encourage everyone to participate in this meaningful event and support our community.

Menstrual Hygiene Kit Assembly

Hygiene Kit Assembly

Hello Centenary Families,

At our recent youth group meeting, we decided to support those affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton by creating hygiene kits—a simple but meaningful way to help. We're inviting all Centenary children and youth to join us in this mission!

Our goal is to donate 12 hygiene kits on behalf of Centenary’s young members. If each child creates one kit and brings it to church by November 10th, we'll reach our goal! Children and Youth can either make a kit using the attached guidelines and video instructions or contribute $24 on behalf of their name, which covers the cost of one or two kits.

There are two types of kits: Hygiene Kits and Menstrual Hygiene Kits; please label your kit’s type on the resealable bag.

Instruction Videos:

On November 10th, our youth group will pack and send them to UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief).

Thank you for joining us in spreading kindness!

If you have questions, please reach out.

Warmly,
