Kort Builders is turning 40 this April, and our origin story is a classic. Before commercial builds, job sites, and long-standing partnerships, our owners Bob and Jeff were running a lawn mowing and painting business… in high school. Same drive, same grit, just a much bigger toolbox these days. What started as a side hustle grew into four decades of building trust, relationships, and projects we’re proud to stand behind.

And somehow, in the same year Kort hits this milestone, the BIGGEST IU fan we know [BOB!] gets to celebrate a National Championship! We’re calling it perfect timing. From lawns to landmarks, follow along as we celebrate all year and share more stories from the past 40 years!
