We at the Center for Community Health are grieving and stand in solidarity with the Black Community. Today we pause to reflect on the lives of George Floyd, Breanna Taylor, and the countless others Black people who have been murdered or hurt by police violence. We must not forget this moment in our nation and city's history when structural racism and violence reared its ugly head again, nor should we neglect the years of inaction that has led us here. We are here to support you because what is happening affects each of us differently. At the Center for Community Health, we are accountable for working with our communities to create a more just and equal society, and we will communicate more over the coming days.
