February Update

Four members of the Center for Health and Hope just returned from a successful trip to India and Sri Lanka to visit our programs of education, health, and nutrition. Scroll down for more information on their recent visit!

Report from India & Sri Lanka

Four members of the Center family recently returned from time well spent in Kolkata, Chennai, Namakkal, Koli Hills, and Colombo. We reflect on the smiles, the conversations, and the deep sense of shared humanity we experienced with our partners and with those we serve.

Medical Camp in Kenya

Preparations are taking place for the first of four medical camps sponsored by the Center for Health and Hope this year in Meru. Over 400 members from the community are expected on February 18, with services ranging from deworming, screening for cervical cancer, blood sugar screenings, and much more. Consider helping to sponsor a medical camp!

Computers Needed for Post-Secondary Scholars

A simple laptop can open doors to opportunity. Our post-secondary scholars in Kenya have their tuition and housing covered thanks to generous supporters—but they still need the tools to succeed. We are seeking seven gifts of $300 to provide seven students with computers they will rely on throughout their studies. Your gift today equips a scholar with a resource that will shape their education and future.

Conversation & Community

Join the Center on February 19 for the first Conversation & Community social hour of the year.

It's a great opportunity to meet like-minded humanitarians and learn more about the Center's projects and programs in 2026. A $25 ticket gets you a drink ticket with proceeds benefiting the Center. Invite your friends and join us at Town Hall Collaborative (525 Santa Fe).

March 8 Red Concert

The Center is proud to collaborate every year with the Tucson Interfaith HIV/AIDS Network to raise critical funds for those impacted by HIV and AIDS, both locally and globally. Consider joining us as a sponsor, or better yet, in person when we gather in Tucson for good food, music, and community.

April 11 Spring is a Time for H.O.P.E.

The Center's annual brunch at the University of Denver to support children orphaned by AIDS in Kenya is on-sale!

Denver7's Shannon Ogden will MC the event, featuring music by Mack Bailey, and keynote speaker Ashirafu Tuyishime, a young man from Rwanda who lost both his parents due to AIDS as a nine-year old.
