April 11 Spring is a Time for H.O.P.E.

In Meru, Kenya, the Center supports 330 children orphaned by AIDS by providing school fees, uniforms, and essential health and nutrition services. Our annual brunch at the University of Denver plays a vital role in sustaining this work.

Join us for a meaningful program featuring Ashirafu Tuyishime of Rwanda, a member of the Center's International Advisory Board, whose story reflects the resilience and impact made possible through the Gift of H.O.P.E program. A Warm Welcome to our New Board Member

Though new to the Board, Jonathan Hawkins brings a deep and longstanding connection to the Center. He first engaged with our work as a student at the University of Denver, serving at the CARE Center in Namakkal, India, alongside Dr. Samuel, a trusted partner in HIV care and treatment. This was followed by a Center trip to Kenya in 2012. Today, Jonathan is a licensed professional counselor based in Denver. We are honored to welcome him to our Board and to our community of dedicated humanitarians.

Building Economic Resilience in Rwanda

Mont Jali News in Rwanda recently highlighted the Center’s partnership with Inclusive Mission, through which 25 goats were distributed to vulnerable families. For many households, a single goat can provide essential nutrition, manure for farming, and offspring that creates income-generating opportunities.

Post-Secondary Scholarships

On April 1, our partners in Kenya, Glorie Gitonga and Silas Kaimenyi, submitted dozens of applications from students seeking academic scholarships beginning in the fall of 2026. Over the coming month, the Center’s Kenya Committee—together with Glorie and Silas—will review candidates and select scholarship recipients.

August 7 Swinging@AIDS Golf Tournament

We’re celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Center’s beloved golf tournament, which supports our programs in India.

Join us at Applewood Golf Course in Golden for a memorable day on the course, including a special luncheon tribute honoring our 2026 Humanitarians of the Year, Jean and Ben Galloway.

September 17 20th Anniversary Celebration

Join us for the Center’s 20th Anniversary Celebration at Denver’s Jewish Community Center.

The dinner and program will celebrate our past and inspire what’s ahead, featuring cultural dance and cuisine, special guests, and more. Bonnie and Don Messer will be honored with the Global Impact Award for their years of dedicated service.
